NSDL Extension of Settlement Fee Waiver under Youth Plan

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), on September 28, 2026, notified the extension of the waiver of Settlement Fees for demat accounts opened under the Youth Plan. The waiver was originally provided for three years from the date of account opening for eligible accounts opened within one year of implementation of the Youth Plan, which became effective from October 1, 2024.

The benefit was subsequently extended for one additional year, covering the period from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026, pursuant to NSDL Circular No. NSDL/POLICY/2025/0130 dated September 30, 2025. NSDL has now further extended the waiver for a period of three years, from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2029.

All NSDL Participants have been advised to take note of the extension and ensure compliance with the revised period of Settlement Fee waiver applicable to eligible Youth Plan accounts.
